JCER’s library at Kayabacho office has a wide collection of economic statistics and literature from a variety of domestic and foreign sources, and has become a very efficient sources, and has become a very efficient sources of reference to our members. The library is frequently visited by researchers from overseas. JCER maintains a comprehensive economic library, collecting and providing access to reference materials for economic and industrial analysis and forecasting for the use of its members.
The abundance of statistics and economic literature is a main feature of the library. Government statistics are collected immediately upon release, and provided without delay for reference. Major statistics and other research publications from overseas countries are delivered to JCER as soon as possible. Research publications are exchanged with several major foreign economic research institutes and other international organizations.

Hours and Services
The library is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. A membership card is presented at the entrance. Books and statistical publications are to be requested from the librarian after checking the catalog number. Librarians will happily assist visitors when help is needed. All materials, excluding the latest statistical publications, reference books and periodicals, are available for outside reference. A photocopy service is also available on request at the member’s expense
Nikkei Prize for Excellent Books in Economic Science
In collaboration with Nikkei Inc, each year, JCER commends books that have helped to further research or outstanding works in the fields of economic and management.
Jiro Enjoji Memorial Prize
This prize was established in 2006 in memory of Mr. Jiro Enjoji, who was formerly the President of Nikkei Inc, and the first President of the Japan Center for Economic Research, who was dedicated to the development of young economists. This prize aims to reward and support the research of young and mid-level economists who have made contributions to economics. The winners will receive a certificate of merit, a prize of 1 million yen and a commemorative gift.
