The AEPR Conference on “Higher Education in Asia” was held online on September 30, inviting national and international experts. Human resources play an important role in enhancing a country’s competitiveness. Education is the foundation for strengthening these human resources. This year’s conference focused on the issue of higher education, which is key to the future of the Asian economy. Specifically, there were active discussions on the current status and prospects of higher education in Japan, China, Thailand, and Malaysia, as well as reports on case studies from the United States. Papers submitted to the conference will be added to and revised based on the discussions at the conference, reviewed by the editors, and published in July 2023.
