The main findings of the June survey include:
- Economies have deteriorated drastically in five ASEAN countries and India due to the corona crisis. Negative growth rates were projected for these economies for 2020 (2020/21).
- Economists expect recoveries from the second half of the year, on the condition that the coronavirus infection is properly managed.
- In addition to acceleration of digitalization, economists expect increased realignments of industries, higher market volatility, decrease in potential growth rates and other changes following the corona crisis.
The panelists discussed topics on Asian economies based on the survey in the web seminar.
