The 32st conference of Asian Economic Policy Review (AEPR) was held on October 2 and 3, 2020 via ZOOM. The theme was “The Post-Abenomics Japanese Economy.”
The Abe administration ended in 7 years and 8 months, and the new Suga administration was inaugurated. What does Abenomics, the economic policy implemented by the Abe administration, actually bring to the Japanese economy? At this meeting, we examined the effects of Abenomics and actively discussed how to deal with the remaining issues. Specifically, we focused on aspects such as finance, labor, and foreign economic policy, and exchanged opinions. The revised papers will get final reviews by editors and the approved papers will be published in the journal in July 2021.
